Welcome Back!

Welcome back to all the grade 7's who were on the Quebec trip. Now that we've all had a break let's get back to planning for our next event which is a "lucky bakesale"! Next Wednesday we will have a green themed bakesale, what will you be bringing? If you have friends and family that are willing to donate baking please invite them to do so. The more we have the more we will sell, the more funds we will make to build our well in Sierra Leone.

Can you help?

Ms Cosburn is collecting school supplies and gently used books to send them to Uganda. She is donating them to the Watoto Villages(see below for information).

Watoto provides holistic care for over 1700 vulnerable children orphaned by war and AIDS in Uganda, by creating safe and enriching environments for them to flourish in. Watoto's mission is to provide care and education for these boys and girls so they can be empowered to make a positive and lasting impact on the development of their country.

Watoto villages are small communities where the children are brought up in family environments – in homes consisting of eight children and a housemother. Watoto children are educated at schools and are treated in medical centres in the villages. The facilities are built throughout the year by volunteers from all over the world."

Last Minute Meeting

We would just like to say congrats for the assembly. It went really well and we think we got the message out to Winona.
To plan for our next fundraiser (candy grams) we have a meeting tommorow ( Friday, February 4th 2011).

Everything has gone really well and so far we have raised over $1,000 and counting.

Just as a reminder we a planning to raise $5,000 to build a well in Sierra Leone.

From how much money we have been raising we will probably reach our goal. And with your help we will.
